Hello, my name is Felipe Angelim. I'm currently in Brazil to finish a double-degree program between my Brazilian university (Federal University of Rio de Janeiro) and my French university (École Centrale de Lyon). I have work experience in Machine Learning and Data Science, particularly Natural Language, Computer Vision and clustering, and I love reading the latest scientific papers to keep updated on cutting-edge technology.
Aside from my academic and professional life, I believe that sports, sincere smiles and hanging out with friends are some of the pillars of a happy life.
Feel free to contact me if you're needing help with some AI product or if you're interested in working together on a project.
As a member of Tech team, I manage the SQL databases and build BI dashboards.
May 2019 - presentDevelopment of clustering algorithm and NLP model that could identify flights' cancellation reasons from text and historical data.
Nov 2018 - April 2019Enhanced 3D object classification algorithms by implementing cutting-edge technology. At the end of my internship, I had reduced the classification error by more than 60%.
May 2018 - Nov 2018I co-founded and managed the powertrain team of the first Formula SAE Electric team of my University.
Oct 2015 - Jul 2016Double-degree program, awarded an Eiffel Excellence Scholarship.
2016 - 2018My grade during the first four semesters in the university placed me among the 1.5% best students in Mechanical Engineering department.
2014 - 2020Full-stack developer
An open-source website for citizens to follow up congressmen after elections, and see what they're voting for. I'm using React.js, Node.js and MongoDB. This project is currently under development.
Full-stack developer
This portfolio was built using React.js and Gatsby.js, and hosted it on github pages. Feel free to fork it! :)
Full Stack developer
An android application that provides information about more than 1000 parkings in Lyon, France. I managed a team of 5 members and participated on data pre-processing for parking availability prediction.
Machine Learning
A versatile implementation of RotationNet, an image-based neural network for 3D object recognition and pose estimation.
Research
As a student supervised by Silvio de Almeida, I developed a research about how different battery specifications affect the electric vehicle's driving range. The research was published in one scientific journal and three conferences. The project was my first contact with academic research, and it catalyzed my taste for scientific papers.
